Samaacharam.com aims to publish accurate news and to address material factual errors transparently when they are identified.

We recognize that errors can occur in reporting and publication. Our responsibility is to assess credible concerns and make appropriate corrections when necessary.

How to Report an Error

Readers who identify a possible error in an article can contact our editorial team.

Please provide:

• The headline and URL of the article.
• The exact statement or detail in question.
• An explanation of why you believe it is incorrect.
• Supporting documentation or reliable sources, if available.

How We Review Reports

Our editorial team will assess the information submitted and, where appropriate, review the original sources, supporting evidence, and relevant context.

We may contact the person who submitted the concern for additional information.

Submitting a correction request does not guarantee that the article will be changed. Decisions will depend on the evidence and the nature of the issue.

Types of Editorial Changes

Corrections: We aim to correct material factual errors, such as incorrect names, dates, figures, locations, or descriptions of events.

Clarifications: We may clarify wording when an article is ambiguous or could reasonably be misunderstood.

Updates: We may add significant new information as a story develops, while seeking to preserve an accurate record of the original publication.

Retractions or removal: In serious cases, we may consider retracting or removing content when continued publication is not justified. Where appropriate, we will explain the action taken.

Transparency

When a material correction or significant clarification is made, we aim to provide a note explaining the change and, where appropriate, the reason for it.

We do not intend to silently alter a material factual error in a way that misleads readers about the history of the reporting.

Minor typographical, formatting, and grammatical changes may be made without a correction note if they do not alter the meaning of the article.

Response and Resolution

We aim to review credible correction requests promptly. The time required to resolve a request may vary depending on its complexity and the availability of evidence.

We cannot guarantee a particular response time or outcome.
